In May 2018, a 30′ retaining wall collapsed between buildings located at 3138 Bailey Avenue & 3111 Heath Avenue in Bronx, NY. As a result, 500 tons of rubble landed on the building, creating an emergency situation. The only access to the retaining wall is a narrow (5′ x 8′) passageway which runs through the building at 3138 Bailey Ave. The project was under scrutiny by the NYDOB. Additionally, the original architectural design could not be constructed due to site logistics. LanTree Build negotiated with the City of New York to implement a design that was economical and feasible. LanTree also sourced a contractor that was willing to work under the arduous conditions and the retaining wall was successfully reconstructed.
